A Memoir
W

hen he was diagnosed with ALS, Woody's life was coming to a close — but it was also just beginning.
After he moved to Los Angeles a few blocks from his son and his son's family, his life changed dramatically: He became friends Russ's friends, many of whom are gay — an entirely new experience for him. He became buddies with Ted Danson, spent Thanksgiving with Marsha Mason, had dinner with Shirley MacLaine, became an extra on J.A.G. and was the subject of an episode of Becker. But, most important, he was able to spend time with his two young grandsons, Henry and Joe. This book was written for them.
